About Dogwood Run
Dogwood Run is a dog day care facility designed to give dogs off-leash exercise while under constant supervision.
We use separate, fenced areas for large and small dogs or allow them to intermingle, depending on compatibility. Our staff
is trained to recognize signs of aggression or incompatibility in order to prevent altercations.
We do not use crates
or cages rather, dogs are free to explore among the trees and land of our approximately 1 acre facility. Dogs have access
to our 1500 sqft building at all times for indoor play or an afternoon nap.
Assorted toys and exercise items
are provided for individual or group play. Dogs are brushed and given individual attention in order to make their stay at
Dogwood Run for a day. . .or an hour. . .a pleasant experience. And. . .we have a pool which many of them love!
If
you are unable to bring your dog for day care, we offer a Pet Taxi service that will pick up your dog and take it home at
your request and convenience.
We also offer a Boarding Alternative service that allows your pet the comfort of home
combined with the play, socialization and exercise of day care. Bonnie Billue, our professional pet sitter and co-owner of
Dogwood Run, will transport (or oversee the transport of) your dog to Dogwood Run each morning you're away and return him/her
home for dinner and bedtime (pretty much a combination of day care and pet-sitting). This allows your dog the benefit of being
in the day care environment, not in a crate or home alone. It is our experience that a dog who attends day care goes home
tired and ready for bed. About 5 PM, they are ready to go home. Also, while at Dogwood Run, your pet will always
be under close supervision for play and exercise and interaction with other dogs .
Bonnie is Red Cross-certified in Pet First Aid. In addition to having a lifetime of working with animals,
she has been a professional pet sitter with a well-known pet-sitting service for almost 8 years. As part of the service, your
mail and newspaper will be taken in, lights alternated for a lived-in look and a security check of your home will be conducted.
Plants will be cared for and watered accordingly. An initial interview with Bonnie is required for the Boarding Alternative

Safety and Security
Of course, the safety of your dog is the primary concern of Dogwood Run. We have a system of gates in the
interior that separate dogs by size or demeanor and provide safety so that they are always contained and away from the exterior
front door.
The fence in the yard is 6' tall and double in the front. We have an airlock behind the front double gate,
which allows vehicle or lawn mower access but secures the dogs away from the street-side gate.
